How we're paid, in plain English

We'd rather you heard this from us up front: Terrace Odds is affiliate-funded. Here's exactly what that means, what it changes, and — just as importantly — what it doesn't.

What an affiliate link is

Some of the links to betting sites on Terrace Odds are affiliate links. When you click one and go on to open an account or meet an operator’s qualifying action, that operator may pay us a commission. It’s the standard way independent comparison sites cover their costs without charging readers.

What it costs you

Nothing. You pay exactly the same prices and get exactly the same offers as you would by typing the operator’s address in yourself. An affiliate link doesn’t change your odds, your terms, or your account in any way — it simply tells the operator the visit came from us.

What it does not change

This is the important part. Commission has no influence on our reviews or scores. Specifically:

  • We list compared sites without a ranking, so there is no ‘top spot’ to sell.
  • Editorial scores come from our review process, not from commercial terms.
  • A site we earn from can still receive a critical review — and several do carry caveats.
  • We don’t add or drop a site purely because of a commercial relationship.

If those two things ever came into conflict, the review wins. A comparison site that quietly sells its verdict isn’t worth reading, and we’d rather keep your trust than chase a placement.

How links are marked

Outbound operator links open in a new tab and use rel attributes appropriate for sponsored, external links. You’ll also see a short affiliate notice next to the comparison and on each review, so the commercial nature of those links is never hidden.

Our promise on accuracy

Being funded by affiliates makes it more important, not less, that the information here is fair. We describe the sites we cover as UK-facing betting products, avoid unverified claims, and never promise winnings or value. Where something can’t be confirmed, we say so and send you to the operator to check.
